Q.     How do I know what security company to hire?
A.     First you should always ask if they are licensed to work in that specific city/town or county. Then ask to see their state issued PPO License and also their Business License for the specific city/town or county.

Next, don't be affraid to ask to see the licenses and certificates of the security officers that will be working for you.

Ultimately the choice is yours, we reccomend that you shop around, ask lots of questions, ask for references and go with your instinct.

And remember one thing, just because a company is cheap to use, doesnt mean that you will be getting officer(s) that know, how, can and will do the job that you hired them to do.

Q.     How do I know the company will do what they say they are going to do?
A.     If it is a special event, you are the one that tells the security company what you want done. There are some rules security companies have to follow from the property owner/management company, these rules will be told to you and given to in writing when you rent the facility.

If it is a patrol, ask the company if they verify their patrols. Also request specific details on what the patrol officers do once they arrive at your property.

If it is a standing site, ask the company if they do daily reports, checks, and if neccesary have someone check in on the officers every once in a while.

Q.     Is it true that private security companies have to be cleared through local police/sheriff departments to be able to work?
A.     Yes, every security company must be cleared by the county or city police department to work in specific counties or cities and also to work specific venues in those areas.

Q.     Do security vehicles have to be marked?
